Paul Krafel’s love of cross-country hiking led to seven seasons as a naturalist with the National Park Service, where he developed his hobby of healing the headwaters of eroding drainages. His book, “Seeing Nature,” published by Chelsea Green, describes these experiences and the way of seeing nature that grew from them. Work as the education director of a natural science museum in Redding, California brought the opportunity to create Chrysalis, a museum-based charter school focused on the natural sciences where he and his wife currently teach. Paul also publishes the quarterly newsletter Cairns of HOPE. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Cottonwood, California.
