Michael T. Klare is Director of the Five College Program in Peace and World Security Studies at Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, and Smith Colleges and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Before assuming his present post, he served as Director of the Program on National Security of the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C. He has written widely on United States defense policy,. His works include "Resource Wars: The New Landscape of Global Conflict."
