Gene Logsdon is a farmer and independent writer. He has written hundreds of magazine articles and numerous books on trying to live sanely in a world despoiled by monetary greed. His last two books are "At Nature's Pace" (Pantheon Books) and "The Contrary Farmer" (Chelsea Green Publishing Co.).
