Frances Moore Lappe

Frances Moore Lappe wrote the ground-breaking “Diet for a Small Planet” in 1971, changing the way a whole generation of Americans thinks about food and the global hunger crisis. She is Co-director of the Center for Living Democracy with her husband Dr. Paul Martin DuBois, and editor of the Center’s American News Service. She has received numerous awards for her work. Lappe co-authored “The Quickening of America” with Dr. DuBois.
