Bruce Berger

Bruce Berger’s books about nature and culture in the desert include “The Telling Distance,” winner of the 1990 Western States Book Award; “There Was A River,” and “Almost An Island.” His poems have appeared in Poetry, The Hudson Review, Barron’s, and elsewhere, and have been collected in Facing The Music, Confluence Press, 1995. For 33 years he has lived in Aspen, Colorado, in a three-room cabin designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, newly in the shadow of a swelling trophy house.
