April Newlin is a clinical psychologist and nature writer who divides her time between New Orleans and the Panhandle of Florida. She writes a nature column in a local Florida newspaper, has read her work on National Public Radio, and has published elsewhere including Audubon and The Michigan Quarterly Review. She recently produced her first book, Horn of Plenty: Seasons in an Island Wilderness.
