The Research Assistant will support the Albertine Rift Network and conservation research projects managed through the Center for Tropical Ecology and Conservation. This will include library research, reviewing and creating content for brochures and websites, developing materials to promote and inform donors and the public about the Albertine Rift work, grant proposal preparation, and assisting with preparation of manuscripts from this work. The Research Assistant will also be expected to collaborate with the Albertine Rift Coordinator as needed, and to work with the CTEC staff team, including attending staff meetings and supporting regular CTEC activities such as brown bags, symposia, and fund raising activities.
The Research Assistant should have excellent writing and editing skills, interest in conservation research and capacity building in Africa, and experience developing grant proposals. In particular I seek someone who is creative, self-motivated and pays close attention to detail. The Assistant should be able to work independently and be a well organized, detail-oriented person.
