We are looking for an individual who can help support the Center for Tropical Ecology & Conservation (CTEC) to work more effectively to reach out and interact with the local, regional and international community. Responsibilities will include working to expand and strengthen the relationships that CTEC has with associates and affiliate organizations, including developing opportunities for student internships and collaborative research projects. The Outreach Coordinator will seek ways to connect CTEC to the ES Dept, to the AUNE campus, to the Antioch University more broadly, and to the New England community interested in tropical ecology and conservation including high schools, local businesses, area non-profits, universities, etc. The Outreach Coordinator will manage the CTEC contact list to keep it updated. The Outreach Coordinator will help to organize and run CTEC's annual fund drive, and will edit, print and mail bi-annual newsletter to members. The Outreach Coordinator will also assist CTEC staff as needed to further the mission of CTEC.
Applicant must have excellent organiztional and communication skills, be able to work independently, and be outgoing, confident and professional at interfacing with our affiliate organizations and our associate members. Should be comfortable managing spread sheets and data bases and have good writing skills.
