Energy and Keene's economy :an analysis of energy use in Keene with proposals for a stronger economy and a cleaner environment

A community's management of tits natural resources can strongly affect its economy, security and environment. Consciously or unconsciously this management occurs through the policies of city government and through the everyday affairs of businesses and home owners. City leadership can be instrumental in promoting a shift in the way we use our resources, yet it is the everyday running of the community that will have the actual impact. My proposal is that by analyzing local patterns and methods of energy use Keene's citizens and government can devise plans to substantially reduce energy consumption and costs, enhance the local economy, provide more secure energy supplies, and increase environmental protection.
