Printing in the Computer Resource Room (CRR)

The Computer Resource Room (CRR) uses a Pay-As-You-Print system. Students receive an allotment of free pages of printing when they establish an Equitrac Print Account.

The primary goal for Pay-As-You-Print is to enhance our campus’s sustainability performance by increasing awareness regarding printing and by helping to eliminate wasteful printing. Before the introduction of the Equitrac Print Accounts system in the Spring 2009 semester, it was not unusual to find hundreds of pages of abandoned print jobs per day.

How do I print?

When you send a print job to the CRR printer, you will be presented with a window on the CRR computer from which you are printing and through which you can sign into your Equitrac Print Account. You will then be presented with a window on the printer computer monitor that will show your current print quota balance and ask you to confirm that you wish to deduct the pages to be printed from your Equitrac Print Account balance.

Printing will deduct from your account at ten cents per page. The printers are defaulted to print double-sided, so if you have a two-page document, it will print on a single sheet of paper, double sided, at a charge of 10 cents.

What if I don’t have an Equitrac Print Account?

If you are a new or continuing student and need an Equitrac Print Account please contact the HelpDesk via phone (1-866-662-0056) or the web at http://helpdesk.antioch.edu to request an account.

Once you access the HelpDesk online, you can follow these three steps:

  1. Select “Student Printing – Equitrac (AUNE Only)” from the ISSUE drop down menu
  2. Select “New Account” from the CATEGORY drop down menu
  3. Provide your first and last name, Antioch email address and Student ID number in the Request Detail section

You will get a message to your Antioch email account with your new Equitrac Print Account details within 5 business days of posting your HelpDesk request. The message will be from “isat@antioch.edu” with the subject “Temporary PIN(s)”.

What if I forget my Equitrac Print Account password?

Please try not to forget your password! We know, though, that this can happen. If you do forget your password, submit a HelpDesk request.

What if I need more credits in my Equitrac Print Account?

When you establish your CRR print account, you will receive a one-time, up-front credit applied to your account based on your program matriculation, as follows:

Certificate programs: $10.00
Master’s programs: $20.00
Doctoral programs: $40.00

If you need to print additional pages beyond the allotted free pages, you can add funds to your Equitrac Print Account. Using a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card, you can add funds to your print account via this website: https://isat-psrvr.antioch.edu/. The transaction will appear under the vendor name “Antioch University New England” on your credit card statement.

Please note that you must be using a computer at AUNE to access this website. The Equitrac website is bookmarked on all CRR computers!

What if I don’t have a credit or debit card? How do I add
funds to my Equitrac Print Account?

Most bank checking accounts come with a debit card, at no additional cost. You also can purchase a re-usable, pre-paid Visa/Mastercard debit card from Walgreen’s, Triple A at the Hannaford Shopping Center or other area vendors.

What do I do if I want to retrieve unused funds in my
Equitrac Print Account?

It is not possible to retrieve unused Equitrac Print Account funds, so please plan accordingly and only deposit the funds that you expect to use before graduation. And remember, you will receive a one-time credit when you establish your CRR print account.

What if I have Work-Study Time Sheets or Work-Study Products to Print?

It is NOT your responsibility to pay for any print jobs that you perform as part of a work-study position on campus. If you need to print out institutional forms such as work-study time sheets, you can check with your work-study supervisor about how to print those documents.

What about Course Assignments?

We have notified all faculty about the Pay-As-You-Print system in the CRR and have suggested that instructors accept course work in electronic form. Many instructors already permit students to submit their course assignments in electronic form. If you are unsure, ask your instructors if they will accept your work in electronic form.

What if I want to read, in hard-copy form, assigned course texts that are provided by the instructor in electronic form?

As with any assigned course reading such as text books, it is the responsibility of students to access these documents (e.g., through purchase, library lending or viewing electronically).

What if I want to take notes on or highlight sections of a pdf document?

If you use a PC rather than a Mac, PDF-Xchange Viewer is a helpful free PDF viewer software that allows users to take notes and highlight text in pdf documents.

What if I need to make multiple copies of single-sided or odd-numbered documents?

The CRR printer is default set to print double-sided. If you need to make multiple copies of a single-sided or odd-numbered pages document, please take your original print out to the copier next door in the Library.

What if the printer malfunctions or I am charged an incorrect amount for a print job?

Contact the Library front desk staff if the printer is out of paper or toner. For a reimbursement, contact the HelpDesk. Provide the date on which you printed the document and what the specific malfunction or incorrect charge was.

What if I need immediate assistance?

If the printer is out of paper or toner, please see the AUNE Library staff.
