Description:

This course serves as a primer in program evaluation history, theory, principles and design of logic models from utilization-focused and learning organization perspectives. The experiential component includes working with an evaluation client ?Çô which could be your place of employment or practicum or another community-based service setting ?Çô to design an evaluation, set up an evaluation database, and/or create and report results, all in service of helping key stakeholders make decisions about a ?Ç£real life?Ç¥ community-based program/practice. The course is suitable for program staff preparing grant applications to expand or enhance programming and/or evaluation. This course uses a hybrid design, including both online and face-to-face components. We will use the Sakai site for this course extensively. Successful completion of the course would allow students to present themselves as beginning-level program evaluators. Open to students in all AUNE programs, both doctoral and master?ÇÖs level, as well as to non-matriculated student. Course can be taken for 1 or 3 credits.
