This course will introduce the student to the theory and practice of dance/movement therapy and counseling, using the approaches developed by the pioneers of the field to elucidate the foundations of the profession. It will provide a forum to discuss the interplay of personal and professional issues that arise in becoming DMTs/counselors, and will provide support as students integrate practicum material, core D/MT and counseling concepts, and peer-group entry experiences.
