Description:

Competency Area: Natural Systems Restricted to OM MBA students through December;open to all Antioch students and alumni beginning January 5. In this course, students will travel to the beautiful city of Stockholm, Sweden to learn how they are developing sustainable energy, transportation, waste management, and community development systems. Students will travel by mass transit and ferry to participate in walking tours of community developments, ecomunicipalities, Stockholm University, the Royal Urban Park, corporate facilities, local water resources, and multiple other sites. Students will study resilience and sustainability by comparing Swedish and American policy while experiencing the culture and history of Stockholm. This course has three components: (1) online pre course March 9 - April 24, (2) travel and tour in Sweden April 25 - May 3, (3) Online Post-Travel Course May 4 - May 11. Trip fee - $2300, departure from Boston, MA, in addition to tuition and fees.
