Description:

Competency Area: Management & Decision Making
Required of and restricted to second year O&M weekend MBA students.

Advances in communications technologies and modes have created an abundance of information and access to information (and mis-information). In this class, students will develop managerial skills for the effective use of information resources and an understanding of the way people and systems capture, create, structure and share such knowledge. Each class will address an aspect of knowledge management and its relationship to environmental policy, corporate environmental responsibility or environmental statutes. Students will work in teams on line and individually to develop strategies for sustainable knowledge management. Students should check the course site in Sakai, for on-line reading assignments that begin prior to the first class meeting.
