Required of and restricted to first year O&M MBA students.

This course will examine the opportunities and challenges of diverse workplaces. Successfully working with diverse populations and understanding the dynamics of differences in organizations requires skills, personal assessment and reflection and a spirit of open-mindedness and acceptance. This course intends to help students develop competencies and improve skills in managing and working effectively in a global work force diagnosing and leading individuals and groups to acknowledge and capitalize on the creativity and richness of diversity. Face-to-face and online discussion and experiential exercises will be used. Students should check the course conference on FirstClass for on-line assignments that may begin prior to the first class meeting.
