Description:

Competency Area: Leadership & Self Development
Required of second year O&M Summer 2009 and Fall 2009 entering Weekend MBA students; others by written permission of Program Director provided to Registrar's Office via Antioch email.

In this course, students will analyze their abilities as entrepreneurial leaders. They will learn skills in needs assessment, business plan development, and entrepreneurial creativity. The seminar will focus on the unique aspects of risk taking, stages of organizational development, leadership behaviors, social entrepreneurship, ecopreneurship, web site development, and role that culture plays in entrepreneurial organizations. Students will do additional readings and discussions in Sakai and online. Students should check the course site in Sakai for on-line assignments that may begin prior to the first class meeting and throughout the semester for ongoing projects and discussions.
