Nature Notebook incorporates nature drawing, scientific observation and poetry as tools for developing higher level thinking skills and expanded environmental awareness. This course begins with basic techniques for understanding how the b-rain visualizes and interprets the world around us, then develops these visual interpretive skills through a series of lessons that will be useful for any classroom teacher. No prior art experience is necessary. Day one of this course will be held at Antioch, day two at the instructor146s farm in Spofford, NH. A mandatory book/materials package will be available for purchase at the first class session for $40.00 (please submit payment to the Education Department prior to the first class meeting).
