Students are advised to check their state licensure requirements for specific course requirements. Maine and Vermont students should be particularly careful in the selection of PYC courses. Massachusetts students should be mindful of specific regulations pertaining to internships. CMHC SA/AC students are also reminded they must complete one of their two internships in substance abuse counseling. All CMHC (including SAAC) students are required to take 2 PYC courses (plus Research in the Spring) to complete program requirements. The third PYC course is elective and may be used to fulfill licensure requirements. You have two PYC choices this fall and one in the spring, so plan appropriately in order to fulfill both licensure and program requirements.
