If you are normally a quiet person that can walk softly between the hours of midnight to 8AM I’ll rebate you $100@month making the cost $650 per month. Why? Because this apartment living room floor is my bedroom’s ceiling, that’s why. I’m willing to give someone a great deal if they are an anti-smoke person willing and able to walk softly after midnight. There is an engineered sound isolation system between the two floors but nothing will stop the clomp-clomp of someone walking about. So if you are a non-smoker who normally sleeps between midnight and 8AM and are willing to be quiet and can walk softly, I’ll reward you. No pets–no exceptions to this.
You must be a non-smoker and have excellent credit history and have gross earnings of at least $27,000 or other provable assets, with good references. If you are naturally quiet, quality tenant, and have good credit, why not capitalize on it? If you don’t have excellent credit, a decent job and a good work history, please look elsewhere.
This small apartment retains the charm and quaintness that an older apartment should have. Some of the doors are circa 1860, and trim in the kitchen, dining area is reminiscent of Art Deco. I built it for myself and lived there, but now live in the apartment beneath this one.
It’s about as close to perfect for an antique apartment as one can get. New paint, nice NH cherry cabinetry; antique wide pine board floors; new flooring in the kitchen; dining area; a small but clean and decent bathroom; a walk-in closet and a pantry closet.
A possible negative for some is the small bedroom. It fits a full-sized mattress, if you have a Queen or King mattress, this is not for you. (That’s a sleeping bag, not a mattress in the photo). It’s an ideal apartment for one, and also ideal for a close couple. A major positive is that it has radiant underfloor heat, which is just luscious. You pay for oil heat which comes to about 28 gallons a month x 12 months. However, the heat provides hot water, so you save about $45 a month since almost all apartments in Keene have electric hot water.
The living room is fairly large, and will either have new carpet, or if you prefer and I agree, I’ll leave the antique wide pine board floors uncovered. The kitchen/dining area is large and sunny.
Please email me and tell me a bit about yourself, I’ll respond with a phone number for you to call.
