Why did you choose the individualized option in Environmental Studies?
Here was Antioch saying, “Make us a proposal to do something remarkable.” I chose to customize my degree with courses in management. No matter where I worked in the environmental field, I would need to know how to work effectively with others.

How has Antioch University New England impacted your career?
I now work for a fossil fuel-based utility. I help customers conserve natural gas and use resources wisely. This opportunity sprang from my practica work. I am continually surprised by how little people know about where resources come from—they just want to flip a switch to have power, or water, or heat. I help people understand where their energy comes from and how they can use it more efficiently.

What's the one thing every Antioch student should know on the first day?
While the campus doesn't appear to be magical, the things that happen there every day truly are amazing.
