Organization & Management - Organization Development Certificate
|
||||
Organizational Systems (Prerequisite)Knowledge of, and experience with, basic organizational systems is a foundation that is expected of all learners prior to entering the OD Certificate Program. This includes an understanding, conceptually and/or from experience, of the organization’s interdependence with other systems and stakeholder interests; and how these interdependencies impact each other. In addition, a basic understanding of different organizational structures (matrix, functional, customer, product, geographically, centralized, decentralized, etc.) is encouraged. Learners may be able to meet this requirement from prior graduate, undergraduate, or other course work, work experience and through demonstration of understanding and knowledge of systems to an OD faculty member. This requirement can be met by Systems Theories and the Organization Environment (OMS 528), a graduate course offered in the Master of Science (MS) program from the Department of Organization and Management. | ||||
