About the Organization Development Program

Today’s workplace presents challenges we have never faced before. The global economy generates both new markets and increased competition. Revolutionary technologies promise superior products and services, and require organizations to make the right choices for customers and employees. Antioch University New England’s Organization Development (OD) Certificate Program empowers you with the skills, tools, and values to help leaders and their organizations thrive in today’s turbulent environment.

Completion of this 15-credit certificate program provides you with:
  • The theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and self-awareness to become an effective and successful OD consultant, or add OD skills to your current consulting practice.
  • The experience and confidence to begin, or expand, your OD consulting practice.

Designed for Working Professionals

The certificate program is carefully designed to meet the needs of working professionals. The program is designed to be completed in one year and includes a mix of workshops and online communication that enables learners to continue to work full-time while enrolled in the program.

Supervised Consulting Project.

A supervised consulting project is an essential component of your program. You work with clients to help them with real issues. This work includes client contracting, data collection and feedback, creating action plans, and delivering interventions.

Support continues after graduation.

The program design includes the use of the cohort model, learning with colleagues who are learning with you from the beginning through the end of the program. The community you join at Antioch New England remains with you after graduation. In addition to the cohort networking group, you have the ongoing support of a faculty mentor who will coach you to help you achieve your professional goals.

Green MBA Students Bring Hirschberg to Speak to Community

“I love this work. It never fails to provide opportunities for me to learn and grow—both professionally and personally. Effective OD practice is a developmental process. It involves learning; learning about yourself and about others. And it involves learning by doing. The design of the OD Certificate Program reflects a strong belief that professional and personal development occurs in trusting, supporting relationships that provide opportunities for appropriate risks. You can expect to emerge from this program with the skills, self-awareness, confidence, and experience that you will need to be successful. For those who want to take the journey, I promise that we will challenge you, support you, and help you reach your goals.”
