Identifying social networking capabilities for conservation organizations in local communities
by Marguerite McClain
My practicum will provide an opportunity to participate in social networking of bringing local businesses together with environmentally conscious organizations. I want to learn how to encourage conversations and cultivate relationships that result in sustainable benefits for these relationships. I will work to develop marketing activities and events for a local conservation organization, Savannah Riverkeeper, that needs to identify areas of support to reach their mission to restore, protect and educate.
I hope to gain major sponsor groups and cultivate awareness by identifying areas where human needs are supported and limited by nature. I hope to gain insight on larger green social networks and develop networking tools that link me to a valuable future career.
