Our Students

Green MBA CohortThe Green MBA attracts students with diverse backgrounds. They include seasoned executives, mid-career professionals, entrepreneurs, and recent graduates. They are looking to upgrade their jobs, find inspiration, add experience to their résumés, and become sustainability champions in their organizations. MBA students come from non-profit organizations, government agencies, for-profit corporations, and others come without much work experience. It is precisely this mix, which makes the MBA classes so dynamic. The common thread is a desire to make a difference in an organization's approach to sustainability.

The MBA program fosters participation and interaction, and students are expected to assume responsibility for the direction of their learning. They find the community support and safety they need to examine themselves and experiment with new behaviors, discovering and developing the assets that form managers who can lead with their heads and their hearts. Students report that Antioch University New England's influence on their lives is both immediate and lasting.

Class sizes are carefully restricted. In addition to classwork, students engage in a faculty-supervised practicum, giving them another opportunity to incorporate theory into actual organizational life. Students are expected to have regular access to a computer and the Internet for class assignments, communication with faculty and administrators, and library and enrollment services.
