The Cohort Approach
With a small class size, you'll have more personal interaction with faculty members and other MBA students. You'll work closely with various faculty members who are readily accessible both in and out of the classroom. The collegial atmosphere of the cohort model fosters relationship building and engaging discussions. You'll become part of an active and supportive learning community, enhanced by the unique experience and perspective each member brings. In order to simulate the variety of teams MBA students will be involved in during their careers, design multiple opportunities for cohort members to work in 3- to 5-person teams to develop skills in team leadership, facilitation, and managing group dynamics. Each MBA student will serve on at least one consulting team in his or her academic classes. Students will be assigned to work with a business that is facing a sustainability challenge. Teams of students research and problem solve sustainable solutions that serve the needs of the client business. Consulting teams have designed profitable, sustainable solutions for a variety of organizations.
