Antioch University New England Receives Windsor Brooks Award

Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce recognizes community engagement

(Keene, NH) -- Antioch University New England (AUNE) has been named the Windsor Brooks Business of the Year by the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce. The award is given annually to an organization that makes significant positive contributions to the community. AUNE President David Caruso accepted the award at the Chamber’s Gala Awards dinner on January 4.

In presenting the award, Cameron Tease of Markem-Imaje said that AUNE, through its teaching, scholarship and community outreach, shows a commitment to community engagement that is a core part of AUNE’s mission and values. “Giving of time, talent and treasure to support and strengthen the community is part of this organization’s DNA,” Tease said. “They teach it, and they practice what they teach.”

Caruso recognized AUNE’s students, staff, faculty and alumni, in announcing the award to the AUNE community. “It is because of your deep commitment to help others and the time and effort you contribute that AUNE was recognized as so important to the Keene area,” Caruso said. “I deeply admire and appreciate each of you for your commitment to AUNE's mission and values and to making this community a better place for all.”

The Windsor Brooks Award, first given in 2002, is named after one of the founders of what is now Monadnock United Way and of the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce.
