Wilfong is a master gardener and a mindfulness meditation teacher. Her book combines a thoughtful selection of the Buddha's teachings, 254 beautiful color photographs, and ways readers can practice mindfulness as they meditate and relax in their gardens. The Meditative Gardener provides suggestions and support for all levels of meditators. Beginners and lapsed meditators will find easy-to-follow instructions or ways to refresh their practices. Seasoned meditators will find wisdom and practices that can be transplanted into their daily lives in the garden. The book can be purchased from Heart Path Press in Putney, Vermont at 1-800-345-6665 or online at: www.meditativegardener.com/ About Cheryl Wilfong In addition to serving on the Board of Trustees for Antioch University New England, Cheryl teaches at the Vermont Insight Meditation Center, in Brattleboro, Vermont. She received a master's degree in counseling psychology from Antioch University New England in 1993 and a master's in intercultural management in 1974 from the School for International Training. While at AUNE, she completed an internship at Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She is a graduate of the Community Dharma Leader Program, sponsored by Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and a graduate of the Integrated Study and Practice Program at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies. She is currently studying a two-year curriculum with Matt Flickstein, co-founder of the Bhavana Society Monastic and Meditation Center in West Virginia. Cheryl has been gardening and meditating since 1977 and has been a master gardener since 1999. She is also the author of Following the Nez Perce Trail: A Guide to the Nee-Me-Poo National Historic Trail with eye-witness accounts, 2nd edition.
