Antioch University New England Is Finalist for Social Responsibility Honor

New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility to present Cornerstone Award

(Keene, NH) -- New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR) has named Antioch University New England (AUNE) a finalist for its 2011 Cornerstone Award.

The NHBSR Cornerstone Award is presented every year to a company or individual that exemplifies the principles of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and promotes those concepts in New Hampshire’ s business community. The recipient of this year’ s award will be announced at NHBSR’ s eighth annual Spring Conference on Monday, June 13, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, New Hampshire.

AUNE has supported the tenets of CSR since it was founded in 1964. Its mission is to provide transformative graduate study education through scholarship, innovation and community action for a just and sustainable society.

AUNE supports CSR in three ways: using CSR principles to operate its business, educating students in CSR principles and, through many of its student practica and internships, helping local and regional businesses and organizations adopt CSR principles.

“ NHBSR is delighted to recognize one of our members with this award. It’ s a fantastic way to highlight outstanding work in the field of social responsibility and sustainability and provides an important example to our New Hampshire community,” said Kate Luczko, interim executive director of NHBSR.

The other two finalists for this year’s award are Sequoyah Technologies Group of Peterborough and Northeast Delta Dental.

NHBSR is a business organization that promotes social responsibility in New Hampshire.
