$1,228 to Help Hurricane Irene Victims

Thank you, neighbors, for helping out after the storm

(Keene, NH) -- With donations from many local businesses, Antioch University New England (AUNE) raised $1,228 at a benefit September 1 to help victims of Hurricane Irene. The money will go to the American Red Cross to assist people in New Hampshire and Vermont who suffered from the storm.

The spirit of generosity and hope in local communities where people come together to help each other touches us all. Please help us thank these generous local businesses by visiting their restaurant or store and by friending them on Facebook:

Thank you to all the individuals who donated items to our yard sale, bake sale and silent auction. Our thanks also go to those who gave—and continue to give—their time and money to support neighbors devastated by Hurricane Irene.

There are several avenues through which you can help out through the Red Cross. The most direct way is to give money—the Red Cross makes it easy to do that through its website. You can also help out by donating blood or volunteering. Visit the Red Cross website to find out more.
