Community Garden Connections To Hold Open House September 17

Learn about two new community garden projects at free event

(Keene, NH) -- The Keene Community Garden Connections invites the public to its Fall Open House, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, September 17. The free event will be held at two locations: the unique community gardens at the Keene Recreation Center, Washington Street, and at Harper Acres, Castle Street.

Learn about the Community Garden Connections (CGC), join in garden activities and enjoy savory garden snacks.

CGC comprises environmental studies faculty and students from Antioch University New England, and community organizations and individual members. Its goal is to help local residents grow healthy and affordable food and provide education through community gardens. It is made possible by a $25,000 gift from the Rashti Foundation.

Find out more about the community gardens project here, or email cgc@antioch.edu.
