Antioch University New England Receives Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation Grant

$17,172 to support new Applied Behavior Analysis certificate program

Antioch University New England has received a $17,172 grant from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, Inc. to support its new Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) certificate program.

The foundation closed 2009 by distributing $378,766 to twenty-nine nonprofit organizations in New England, New York, New Jersey, California, and Canada. The Antioch University New England grant will be used for ABA program development and for scholarships to students who have a financial need and who are dedicated to providing behavioral services to underserved populations or regions. About Antioch University New England’s Applied Behavior Analysis certificate program.

Antioch University New England’s ABA certificate program is a new offering of the Department of Applied Psychology’s Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders. ABA is the primary, evidence-based, treatment for autism. AUNE's new training program, which starts in July, is designed to meet the educational requirements to become a Behavior Analyst or Assistant Behavior Analyst. Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, although early application is encouraged due to small class size. For more information, please contact Shelley Viles at 603-283-2145, or via email: sviles@antioch.edu.
