NEWS RELEASEContact: Jan Fiderio at 603.283.2107 September 22, 2011 for Immediate Release Fair Trade Symposium and Market Will be Held at AUNE November 5Founder of Dean’s Beans is keynote speaker at CTEC event (Keene, NH)-- Fair Trade: Bringing Sustainability to Everyone, the seventh annual symposium and fair trade market, organized by the Center for Tropical Ecology and Conservation at Antioch University New England (AUNE), will be held Saturday, November 5, at AUNE. The symposium, which is open to the public, brings together researchers, professionals, educators, students, skeptics and advocates to learn about and promote fair trade. Dean Cycon, founder and CEO of Dean's Beans Organic Coffee Company, which offers certified 100% organic, fair trade and kosher coffee roasting, is the keynote speaker. Other speakers are: Tamara Stenn, owner of the KUSIKUY Clothing Co. Stenn is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, a trade association that strengthens and promotes North American organizations fully committed to fair trade. She recently completed her doctorate at Keene State College, focusing on the impacts of fair trade. Elizabethada Wright, a professor at Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire. She also owns Fa La Lo, a retail store featuring only locally made and fair trade products. Early registration for the symposium, before October 20, is $35; $25 for students. Walk- in registration is $45.
