NEWS RELEASEContact: Jan Fiderio at 603.283.2107 (Keene, NH) April 1, 2010 Antioch University New England Receives Challenge GrantThe Ruth and Hal Launders Charitable Trust supports MBA scholarshipAntioch University New England (AUNE) has received a challenge grant from the Ruth and Hal Launders Charitable Trust. The $5000 grant will provide scholarship support for students in AUNE's Organizational and Environmental Sustainability (Green MBA) program. The Foundation's connection to Antioch University New England is multi-generational. Foundation trustee, Eugenie W. Maine, is an Antioch University New England MAT '68 graduate. Carrying on the family connection to AUNE are daughters Sarah Maine, who is a second year Organizational and Environmental Sustainability (Green MBA) student, and Valerie Maine, who is a third year AUNE PsyD student. The Ruth and Hal Launders Charitable Trust, a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, was founded in 2007. The trust has awarded over forty grants since its inception, and as a memorial to Ruth and Hal Launders, bestows funds to worthy organizations that seek to better mankind. The trust's mission is to act as a catalyst to advance the development, self-sufficiency, and sustainability among vulnerable populations and their support systems. Grant beneficiaries lie largely within the areas of education, homelessness, physical and mental abuse, and children's welfare. To learn more visit: www.rhlct.org.
