Hypertherm, Inc. wins. Keene, NH - June2, 2009 - While Antioch University New England was one of five finalists recognized by New Hampshire Governor John Lynch for the New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR) Cornerstone Award, the honor ultimately went to Hypertherm, Inc. on June 1. NHBSR presents the Cornerstone Award every year at its spring conference to a company, organization, or individual that exemplifies the principles of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and promotes the concepts of CSR to the greater business community within the state of New Hampshire. This year's award was announced at the organization's sixth annual spring conference on Monday, June 1 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, New Hampshire. According to NHBSR executive director Molly Hodgson Smith, the many qualified nominations reflect the integrity of New Hampshire's business community and the level of commitment to sustainability and CSR issues. Vince Perelli, chief of planning and policy for the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and event co-chair added "While we only select one recipient annually for this award, we like to honor all of our finalists for setting such great examples for the rest of us to follow." Monadnock Paper Mills received the 2008 NHBSR Cornerstone Award. The 2009 Cornerstone finalists were Antioch University New England; Simply Green Biofuels, LLC.; BAE Systems, Electronics, Intelligence & Support, PLC; Hypertherm, Inc.; and Stonyfield Farm.
