Patron Services

The library on the campus at Avon Street is open seven days a week during the academic term and provides quiet and comfortable space for Antioch community members. There is wireless internet access in the library, and staff are welcome to use their own laptops or one of the library's computers (please note that there is no printing from library computers). Food and beverages are allowed in the library although we ask that care be taken near our computers!

Online Databases and Journals

Staff have access both on and off-campus (via password) to more than one hundred research databases and thousands of full text journals and newspapers. In addition, staff are welcome to use our in-house collection of books, journals, DVDs, videos, and other materials. Our Research Guides by Subject can suggest appropriate resources.

Personalized Reference Support

Reference librarians can assist with work-related research: advising on framing, narrowing, or focusing your inquiry; suggesting appropriate resources; constructing database searches; and getting from research results to full-text.

Tutorials

Brief online tutorials (under 5 minutes) are available for various aspects of using our resources, from logging in to databases to finding the full-text of articles.

Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery

Staff may use all document delivery services to request items that support research and work-related needs: books, chapters from books, articles, dissertations, DVDs, videos, etc. Articles and book chapters requested through Interlibrary Loan will be delivered to you online!

Laptops

AUNE Library has several laptops available to students, staff, and faculty for 24-hour check-out.

Audiovisual Equipment

AUNE staff can check out various types of audiovisual equipment, including data projectors, audio and video recorders, and digital cameras. Contact the library (in person, by email, or call 603-283-2400) for details about our equipment and how to reserve it.
