FAQ
Still have questions? Ask a Librarian! How do I get help with research? The easiest way is to Ask a Librarian! Antioch librarians are always available to help you focus your topic, choose and use the correct database, refine your results, and find full text. You can stop in at the library or make an appointment for individual consultation with your department librarian. Who are the department librarians?Cary Jardine is the librarian for Applied Psychology, Education, and Organization & Management. How do I get something the library doesn't own?AUNE Library has an excellent Interlibrary Loan service available free of charge for authorized patrons. Fill out the online interlibrary loan form to request books, journal articles, government documents, or other items the library does not have in its own collections. What is OhioLINK?OhioLINK is a large collection of research databases and full text electronic journals. The best way to use OhioLINK is to choose a specific database, many of which can be accessed through our Database Quicklist. You can see a list of OhioLINK databases by subject here. Many of the journals on our Journals A-Z list will be found in OhioLINK databases. How do I request that books on the shelf be put aside for me until I am on campus?Patrons may request that book/s (or videos or DVDs) on the shelf and available for check-out be put aside and held for them. Use the "Hold for AUNE Campus pick-up" option in the catalog. Item/s will be held at the Circulation desk for one week before being returned to the shelf. What if I need a book that is checked out?If you need a book that is currently checked out, use our Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery form to request another copy. We can usually get it faster from another library than waiting for our copy to return! How do I check out books if I am a distance student? If you do not regularly get to campus, we can mail you books that are on the shelf and available for check-out. Use the Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery form to provide us with your name and address and the complete information about the book you would like. (Please submit a separate form for each book if you are requesting more than one.) How do I get articles from journals in the library if I am a distance student? If you need an article that is only available in a print journal, submit a request for it on the Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery form. Library staff will scan the article and email you a copy of it! How do I know what journals the library has?Check our Journals A-Z list. This is a searchable, alphabetical list of all the journals we subscribe to, including our print journals, more than 10,000 electronic journals, and a few titles that we have in other formats. You can look up a journal by title and the list will tell you if we subscribe to it and where you'll find it. Where do I get help with email, software problems, and other computer troubles?Antioch has an Information Systems and Technology Department with full-time, knowledgeable staff who can help with technical issues. Library staff cannot help with email and can offer only limited assistance with other technical problems. We will provide technical assistance with library services when possible but for other questions or problems with computers, visit the Help Desk. | ||||
