ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center)
Available to current Antioch University New England and Antioch Leadership PhD students, staff and faculty only. Log in required. Username is lastname[space]firstname (no nicknames, no middle initials). Password is anne immediately followed by your Antioch ID number (the number found on your Antioch ID card and used to log in to your FirstClass account).

What is ERIC?
ERIC is the primary index to information in education and related fields. ERIC stands for Educational Resources Information Center. ERIC provides citations and often full text for journal articles, reports, theses, lesson plans, and more.
What is in ERIC?
- Citations for journal articles, indicated by EJ. Full text may be provided with the citation, or available through the "Find It" link:
- Citations for other types of documents, indicated by ED. These are "ERIC Documents" and may be reports, theses, government documents, lesson plans, conference papers, etc. Many of these documents are available in full text, and ERIC will indicate this with a link:
- You may use Interlibrary Loan to request any item that is not available in full text.
Search tips
- Use the Thesaurus. This will tell you what subject heading has been assigned to the topic you are searching for. For instance, “school change“ is not a subject heading in ERIC; the thesaurus will suggest that you use “educational change.” If you look for information on a topic that
you think should be in ERIC but come up empty, check out the thesaurus to find subject headings
that might help. The Thesaurus tab is at the top of the Search screen.
