Display Policy

The Library welcomes requests from the AUNE community to provide displays of Library materials in support of AUNE courses, programs, events, or interests.  The use of display suggestions from the community is not guaranteed; the Library will review display requests and create displays as space and time permit.  Suggestions for displays promoting a scheduled event should be made two weeks in advance of the event.

The emphasis of all exhibits and displays is to be on Library materials, and Library materials on display are available for use and circulation.  The lack of secured display space prevents the Library’s accepting and being responsible for non-library materials in Library displays.  Individuals wishing to donate materials approved for addition to the Library collection and inclusion in an approved display may do so at least one month in advance.  Requests involving the purchase of books or DVDs for display should also be made at least one month in advance, due to the time necessary to acquire and process materials.  Materials purchased must be consistent with the AUNE Library Collection Policy.

Displays are to be consistent with Antioch University’s mission and core values, and with AUNE Library’s commitment to freedom of information and cultural diversity.   Library displays are not to be used to promote personal, commercial, or organization positions; no solicitation in any form (petitions, memberships, etc.) will be included in Library displays. The Library reserves the right to alter or remove any display.

Requests for displays which do not meet the Library Display Policy guidelines will be reviewed by Library staff on a case-by-case basis.

Please submit all display suggestions to Abby Jones, Library Services Supervisor.
