Display Policy

ANE Library will, as time and space permit, set up displays and exhibits to highlight library materials in support of school or community events. Due to limited space, the major emphasis of all exhibits and displays is to be on library materials. The lack of secured display space makes it impossible for the library to accept and be responsible for non-library materials.

Displays are to be consistent with the Library’s commitment to freedom of information and cultural diversity. They are not to be used to promote personal, commercial, or organization positions. Display suggestions from the university community are welcome, but their use is not guaranteed.

The Library will review and approve each display. The Library reserves the right to alter or remove any display.

Library materials on display are available for use and circulation. Individuals wishing to donate materials for addition to our collection and subsequent display may do so at least one month in advance.

Suggestions for displays promoting a scheduled event must be made two weeks in advance of the event. Requests involving the purchase of books should be made at least one month in advance, due to the time necessary to acquire and process materials.

Requests for displays which do not meet the guidelines will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
