Youth Garden Coordinator

We are accepting applications for a Youth Garden Coordinator (Las Milpitas Farm) at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

Our Youth Garden Coordinator is responsible for coordinating gardening activities, installations, and general maintenance of the Youth Garden and the Youth Farm Project Programs at Las Milpitas Community Farm. This includes overseeing the Associate and Apprentice program activities, projects, and installations and much more. This is a community focused position requiring excellent organization and communication skills and a professional yet personable attitude! We want someone who works hard and has fun doing it. And because this person does garden installations this position requires someone that has previous experience utilizing power tools including a circular saw.

Some additional requirements for this position include:

Current Fingerprint Clearance Card from Arizona DPS or ability to obtain one

Three years’ experience in organic and sustainable farming systems including working knowledge of diverse year round vegetable production

Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Required
