Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp welcomes campers and staff members from around the world to its beautiful lakeside setting in the quiet and pristine woods of southwest New Hampshire where children gather every summer to live and play together in a unique and magical place where friendship, happiness and community thrive. Windsor Mountain provides campers and staff members a unique opportunity to nurture the creative spirit, develop a sense of self-understanding and independence, foster lifelong friendships, try new things, cultivate skills and learn how to live in a community of people representing diverse cultures and life experience. We are a co-ed, non-competitive camp that uses the power of experiential learning to enhance the personal growth and development of each camper. We embrace the values of respecting differences among people, living r esponsibly and taking safe and appropriate risks.
Responsibilities: Manage area of swimming, and boating (kayak, canoe, sailing); Set up waterfront area during staff training; teach and orient waterfront staff to our lake; maintain waterfront standards and keep staff uplifted to maintain the standards; inventory, care, and check equipment as needed; develop and review lesson plans for staff; work with program director to ensure that offerings are meeting the goals of the camp program; support waterfront staff and assist with their lesson plans; maintain record of participants swimming abilities and advancements; arrange waterfront as necessary for special activities; and ensure departmental goals are reached; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Current (WSI) Water Safety Instructor Certification, Current lifeguarding, Current first-aid and CPR required; current small craft (canoeing and/or sailing) and other certifications a plus; has a desire to work with children in an outdoor setting; ability to work well with others; good character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
Benefits: $2,300-$3,600 (based upon experience.) Meals and housing while at camp. Reimbursement for some traveling expenses needed to get to camp. Positively impact the lives of young people. Training 6/5-6/24. Availability from June 6-August 18th
