Stewardship Programs Manager, Big Sur Land Trust

The Stewardship Programs Manager (SPM) at Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) is a full-time exempt position with benefits. The position reports to BSLT’s Assistant Director, and is responsible for stewardship of all fee and easement lands held by the Big Sur Land Trust in accordance with Land Trust Standards and Practices.

The SPM will develop, update and implement management plans for all BSLT fee lands to achieve conservation and programmatic goals and objectives specific to each site. Site specific or place based stewardship will require the SPM to demonstrate effective participation and leadership within BSLT staff teams.

The SPM will work with BSLT based project managers to identify, budget, staff and find resources to implement stewardship activities at all BSLT projects.

Successful fee land stewardship management will depend upon SPM’s ability to effectively integrate BSLT projects with regional landscape conservation efforts through collaboration with partners, public agencies and funders.
