CafeGive is an internet based startup located in Portland Oregon that is making it possible for companies of every size to have a real impact on the causes they care about while improving their bottom-line. Our product is a set of social media and web applications that can be used by marketing and other moderately tech savvy folks. Our tools make it easy and cost effective for a small or medium sized business to run cause-marketing campaigns similar to those created by large brands like Gap, Wal-Mart, Chase Manhattan, and Pepsi.
CafeGive taps into two fast growing trends: Companies who embrace social responsibility and an expanding use of social media to reach their customer base. The CafeGive team has figured out how to make cause marketing accessible and engaging, and is poised to build a big business from these assets and expertise.
POSITION OPEN CafeGive has a need for Sales and Business Development Associates to significantly contribute to the growth of the business through expansion of sales, business partnerships and sales channels.
More specifically, the position will be responsible to:
Focus on and contribute strongly to the realization of the Company’s growth plans with respect to market and sales growth, and related business partnerships
Drive specific relationships and strategic sales programs to maximize growth
Contribute strongly to the team by helping to define and set sales goals
Develop, review and report on the sales strategy and results including key strategic objectives and metrics
Be a team player who communicates well and influences direction by doing, leading and working with the team in order to achieve the greater goals of the company, our partners and our customers.
The successful candidate will have impact on the company in the following areas:
Create sales opportunities through email and telesales activity
Effectively close business development relationships – conception through implementation – that bring significant actual growth to the company both short and longer term.
The ideal candidate will have:
A passion for the CafeGive vision, social media and the potential for meaningful social impact through corporate social responsibility
Sales experience and business degree or equivalent
Evidence of an ability to work effectively with a diverse team, some remote
A history as a self-starter, motivated by setting goals and beating them
Experience in both strategic planning and tactical execution, and the ability to wear both hats well.
Great communication skills and a passion for doing great things
