The ReStore Manager will ensure efficient, standardized and successful operation of the ReStore retail outlet of Topeka Habitat for Humanity (THFH). This position provides leadership in all areas of ReStore operation, to include: volunteer management, merchandising, procurement, donation processing and pertinent reporting. ReStore is the organization’s main fundraiser and requires volunteer labor and donated merchandise as well as extraordinary organization to ensure its success and therefore the success of Topeka Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities and hope in Topeka.
Essential Job Functions:
Hold chief administrative responsibility for the ReStore.
Collaborate closely with THFH’s volunteer coordinator to ensure training information, retention, and scheduling are adequately executed at the ReStore.
Manage and supervise all ReStore volunteers and staff to include Procurement Manager, Dock Manager and Donation Pick-Up Driver.
Ensure inventory is consistently procured, received, merchandised and sold in the most profitable manner possible.
Oversee all policies and procedures regarding cash reconciliation and reporting.
Monitor budget and sales to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
Provide timely reporting and ensure compliance as required by Executive Director.
Responbsible for updating and enforcing all procedures.
Follow best practices to ensure the ReStore has 0 accidents and that all safety procedures are followed.
Keep up-to-date on ReStore practices and procedures through the use of my.Habitat.org website and maintain communication with other ReStore’s in the area.
Collaborate with Procurement Manager to establish and nurture relationships with major vendors and contractors to ensure stable flow of inventory.
Commitment to the mission of THFH
At least 3 years-experience in retail management
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook and access
Keystone Software experience preferred
Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment
Preferably experienced in procurement
At least 3 years-experience managing a team and preferably volunteers
·Ability to stand and walk frequently.
·Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
·Ability to read computer screens and mail, email, talk on the phone.
·Ability to move supplies up to 75 lbs.
·Ability to work some evenings and weekends and attend events as required.
