The Colorado Boettcher Teacher Residency (CBTR) recruits, selects and trains individuals to become exceptional teachers by providing an intensive and supportive teacher training program, which combines master's level courses with hands-on learning in a classroom.

CBTR is looking for individuals from a broad range of personal and professional backgrounds committed to choosing teaching as their profession and raising student achievement in urban and rural communities.

ENTER THE CLASSROOM PREPARED

The Colorado Boettcher Teacher Residency offers:

  • Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Culturally Linguistically Diverse
  • A full academic year apprenticeship in classroom under the guidance of a experienced and skilled Mentor Teacher who provides intensive feedback and coaching
  • An opportunity to work in a variety of high-needs Colorado school districts (urban and rural)
  • A collaborative cohort of learners that continues to provide on-going professional support throughout one's teaching career
  • A Colorado Teaching License

Prerequisites include:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • US citizen, permanent resident or able to work legally in the U.S.
