Psychiatrist

Job Summary: Provide psycho-educational counseling and psychotherapeutic interventions to qualified individuals by providing comprehensive and evidence based practices.

Responsibilities:
• Makes initial assessment of client’s condition, sets up a plan of care with client, and implements this plan in coordination
• Establishes treatment priorities based on medical diagnosis and implements with the client’s care and safety in mind
• When appropriate, works with client to gain an increased level of independence with treatments
• Works with other community agencies involved with the client
• Observes signs and symptoms, reactions to medication and/or treatments and changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition and reports to the Medical Director and Program Manager as needed
• Reports significant changes to client’s physician
• Makes recommendations for additional or modified services, coordinating client’s total needs with other members of the team
• Participates in staff development programs and meetings as assigned
• Demonstrates self-improvement and continuing education efforts and meets all state and federal educational requirements and mandated in-services, as well as keeping licensure current, failure could result in termination
• Works with appropriate level of independence, recognizing limits and seeking proper supervision
• Demonstrates dependability and punctuality
• Participates in Agency quality programs and actively seeks ways to improve patient care and the Agency’s efficiency
• Submits timesheets by the required date of the supervisor
• Maintain a neat, clean and orderly appearance (Dress Code Policy)
• Appropriate footwear for all seasons (Dress Code Policy)
• Conduct oneself in a manner that promotes safety
• Complete all necessary paperwork related to the position and/or yourself in a timely manner

Qualifications:
Educational and Professional
• Current registration and licensure in the State of New Hampshire
• A Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Inpatient or Outpatient counseling
• Successfully complete all required company in-services
• Leadership in the identification of education needs of the staff
• Outreach to community agencies and health settings as appropriate

Knowledge/Abilities/Requirements
• Practitioner of evidence based practices or must be willing to learn;
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Illness Management and Recovery
- Motivational Interviewing
• Knowledge and practice proper ethics through work treatment and personal responsibility
• Be aware of and adhere to HIPAA rules and regulations and must be an active participant in safety measures for ensuring confidentiality of information as it relates to clients and this agency.
• Resourcefulness, flexibility and integrity
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to function in a team oriented environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to make meaningful observations and document these findings.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work within caseload to meet patient/family/payer needs and required documentation within required time lines.
• Preferably but not required Multilingual
