We are currently looking for a Project Manager who would be responsible for managing all aspects of the development process for refinancing and repositioning key assets in MidPen's existing portfolio and new acquisition rehab projects to ensure long term sustainability both physically and financially. Under the supervision of the Directory of Housing, the Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners to define scope, indentify financing plan, and overall execution of asset re-positioning. A central part of the long term sustainability of existing properties requires attention to minimizing long term operating costs at the properties both for the Owner and residents. As a result, a key part of the asset repositioning strategy of the implementation of energy efficient and green building measures designed to reduce long term operating costs, improve indoor air quality and promote resource conservation. Successful candidates will possess the following:
â€¢Graduate or Professional degree in Urban Planning, Community Development, Architecture or related fields with an emphasis on real estate development, or commensurate experience
â€¢At least three years prior experience in low-income housing development with a focus on rehabilitation of existing properties.
â€¢Experience in securing entitlements and financing for at least one development for which the person had primary responsibility during all phases of development.
â€¢Thorough knowledge of Federal, State, Local, and Private sources of financing for low income housing
â€¢Excellent written and oral communication skills
â€¢Good political instincts and judgment
â€¢Excellent organizational and project management skills
â€¢Ability to work in fast-moving, flexible environment.
â€¢Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
â€¢Demonstrated proficiency with Build It Green requirements.
â€¢Preferred candidate would also have the Build It Green "Green Building Professional" certification or LEED AP certification.
