Program Coordinator / Assistant

Program Coordinator/Assistant Position

Schedule:
Year-round, full-time
Starting June 1st 2014
On-campus living required initially

Responsibilities:
-Take a leadership role in facilitating the big-picture operations of Kroka programs
-Welcome the many families and school groups who come to Kroka each year
-Manage scheduling teachers & supporting staff in the field
-Oversee all equipment use and development of program curriculum
-Facilitate all pre-program and post-program meetings with program teachers
-Work with Registrar on organizing program itineraries, scheduling programs, and creating appropriate packing lists
-Manage hiring teachers and facilitate staff trainings & staff community life

Qualifications:
-Experience in outdoor education and enthusiasm for working with children & families
-Personal and professional wilderness travel experience
-Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized understanding of the big-picture
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with families, students, and, importantly, co-workers
-Energetic positive outlook
-Interest in both administrative and fieldwork
-Flexibility with work hours to include evenings and weekends during busy seasons

Compensation & Benefits:
-Salary based on experience
