Program Coordinator / Assistant

Schedule Year-round, full-time, starting June 1, 2014. On-campus living required initially
Responsibilities
Take a leadership role in facilitating the big-picture operations of Kroka programs
Welcome the many families and school groups who come to Kroka each year
Manage scheduling teachers and supporting staff in the field
Oversee all equipment use and development of program curriculum
Facilitate all pre-program and post-program meetings with program teachers
Work with Registrar on organizing program itineraries, scheduling programs, and creating appropriate packing lists
Manage hiring teachers and facilitate staff trainings and staff community life
Qualifications
Experience in outdoor education and enthusiasm for working with children and families
Personal and professional wilderness travel experience
Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized understanding of the big-picture
Strong written and verbal communication skills with families, students, and, importantly, co-workers
Energetic positive outlook
Interest in both administrative and fieldwork
Flexibility with work hours to include evenings and weekends during busy seasons
