Program Coordinator

Summary of Position

Reporting to the Program Managers, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the implementation, organization and execution of Tuesday’s Children programs, with a focus on the Mentoring Program and our international program, Project Common Bond


Team Management

  • Responsible for the coordination of the Mentoring program and our international program for victims of terrorism, Project Common Bond
  • Work with a team of qualified program professionals and provide assistance to the Program Directors and Managers
  • Help fulfill goals and objectives for program areas in collaboration with program team
  • Assist in the development of evaluation methodology, program database and compilation of feedback for specific program areas


  • Take a leadership role with our program database and software
  • Assist with surveys, interviews, focus groups and needs assessments
  • Help identify organizations and individuals providing unique and outstanding programs.
  • Assist with ongoing partnerships and in design and delivery of specialized courses
  • Participates in the design of assessment and marketing surveys

Planning and Development

  • Assist with the planning and development of a program curriculum that meets the needs of constituents
  • Help design and tailor programs to meet the needs of constituents
  • Coordinate consultants, speakers and help negotiate fees
  • Organize and track consultant contracts
  • Maintain calendar of programs
  • Assist with budgeting and monitoring program expenses
  • Participate in preparation of grants to fund programs


  • Assist with communication strategy for recruiting participants in organization and programs
  • Help with flyers, e-mail communications and print ads to market programs

Program Evaluation

  • Work with the program team to develop a standardized approach to evaluation of programs
  • Obtain written and verbal feedback from program participants to determine program effectiveness
  • Assist with formal and informal needs analysis to ensure programs continue to meet constituent’s needs


  • Minimum of a BA. Social Work, Psychology or a related field is a plus
  • Experience in Mentoring is a plus
  • Willing to learn technology as a reporting tool as well as developing and implementing program evaluation systems
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Tuesday’s Children’s mission
  • Sense of humor a plus
  • Willing to travel

Minimum Qualifications

BA degree required
